The Stacks are six floors of adult nonfiction, located at the back end of the Main Library. See a graphic diagram of the Stacks.

Biographies
The Library is in the process of moving the biography into the Stacks. The book's call number will help you know where to look.

  • If the call number begins with a B, you should find the item in the second floor Biography section, adjacent to the public reading room.
  • If the call number begins with numerals (e.g., 973), the item is in the Stacks.

Fiction
The adult fiction (except new fiction) is located on the Second Floor, opposite the Reference Desk. The Fiction section includes:
